Smart Orthodontics

Dr. Smart

Dr. Danette Smart has set the standard of excellent orthodontic care for over a decade. She began by earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and went on to complete her dental education at Howard University, College of Dentistry. She then completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Hospital in New York. She went on to complete specialized training and earned a master's degree in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Dr. Smart continuously improves her training as an active member in many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Smart loves serving her community through her work as an ordained Presbyterian minister. She enjoys running and yoga. Dr. Smart prides herself on running a patient-focused practice. She is passionate about creating a beautiful smile while getting to know each of her patients.
