Andrea is our lead DA II assistant with 15 years of experience and she rejoined the practice in 2021. She is a native of Colombia and she is also bilingual. She left the field of dentistry for a period of time so that she could nurture and care for her family who is her most important gift. She enjoys painting, hiking and singing off tune at Karaoke.
Italy is a DA II assistant who joined our practice in 2021. She was trained at the DA Academy School in Charlotte. She was born in California and she proudly celebrates her Mexican heritage. She is bilingual. She likes going out with friends and travelling with her family.
Katia joined our practice 2022. She is a DA II assistant who was trained at the DA Academy School in Charlotte. She was born in Mexico and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is deeply committed to her faith. One of the highlights of her day is nurturing her new puppy, Mowgli.
Chiquita Latham is a native of Cleveland Ohio, where she received her dental assistant certification from Cleveland Institute of Dental and Medical Assistant. Chiquita has resided in Charlotte NC for the past 10 years, and for the last 5 years she has enjoyed working at Smart Orthodontics as an orthodontic assistant. She enjoys traveling, basketball (Die Hard Cavs fan), and making beautiful smiles.
Ledna Perez was born in Managua, Nicaragua and was raised in Miami, FL. She has been residing in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2006. She loves to provide our patients excellent customer care. She is bilingual and has been with Smart Orthodontics for 12 years. In her spare time she loves to go hiking with her family, traveling and shopping.
Parks is the Treatment Coordinator and she is a certified DA II assistant. She is a native of North Carolina. She has been in the field of Dentistry since 1984. She loves animals and her best friends are Spike, Frisco, T-bone and MooMoo. In her spare time she also enjoys gardening.
Angela is our Financial Coordinator and has been part of the Smart Orthodontic Team for 17 years. She is a native of Jamaica and has lived in Charlotte for almost 18 years. She spends most of her spare time mentoring young adults. She enjoys playing cards especially spades and she loves to prepare her exotic Jamaican cuisines that she is passionate about.
